    Abstract:

Based on the beam trawl surveys in Yellow River estuary which were conducted in May and July, 2007, benthic fisheries resources in this area were analyzed and calculated using species richness R, Shannon-Wiener diversity index H′, evenness index J ′ and biology index b, respectively. In our study, the average catch biomass per net was 0.927 and 2.12 kg/h, R, H′ and J′ were 12.08, 2.277, 0.64 and 10.91, 2.743, 0.76 in spring and summer, respectively. The results showed that the benthic biological resources were richer in summer than in spring, and the diversity indices of the community were also higher in summer. Moreover, dominant species were Nassarius variciferus, Chaeturichthys hexanema, and Oratosquilla oratoria etc. The data provided a scientific basis for protection of fishery biology diversities and resources restoration in Yellow River estuary.
