Screening，identification and phylogenetic analysis ofmarine microorganisms producing extracellular esterase

Abstract:

With α naphthyl acetate and tributyrin as substrate，a precise and rapid screening method was developed．One stable strain EB 1，which was isolated from related samples，showed the highest esterase producing ability among the 281 strains．Through study on its morphological，physiological and biochemical characteristics as well as 16S rDNA sequence homology comparison，strain-EB-1 was identified as Bacillus subtilis var.niger，which was almost the closest relative to the standard strain with 9979% similarity in sequence under the phylogenetic tree．The 16S rDNA sequence of strain EB 1 has been deposited in GenBank，registration number was EU016526．
